The co-hosts of “The Big Weekend Show” on Sunday discussed Democratic strategist James Carville’s recent comments blaming “preachy women” for Biden’s poll numbers.

Carville spoke with New York Times opinion columnist Maureen Dowd, denouncing the Democratic Party’s culture of wokeness and censorship.

“A hunch of mine is that there are too many preachy women. Don’t drink beer. Don’t watch football. Don’t eat hamburgers. This is not good for you – the message is too feminine,” Carville said. “If you listen to Democratic elites — NPR is my favorite place for that — the entire conversation is about how women, and women of color, are going to decide this election. I’m like, ‘Well, 48 percent of the people who vote are men. Do you mind if they have some attention?”

Dagen McDowell, co-host of The Big Weekend Show, said the Democratic Party’s problems with men stem from the fact that the party no longer stands up for masculinity.

“This is about driving men out of the Democratic Party. And I would like to point out one thing in all seriousness: male labor force participation has fallen. Only two-thirds of men participate in the labor force. has just plummeted, and there is honor and dignity in the work. And if men are not working, there is something seriously wrong with this country,” she said. “There is one party that stands up for masculinity and has no problem with it, and there is one party that does not.”

“I wonder if he was projecting at all,” co-host Kat Timpf added. “Maybe a little bit because I don’t know what kind of women, or he said, (women). I’m sorry, but calling women women, like ‘these women’ – stop. Please don’t ever do that.” that again. He shouldn’t project that onto all of us. I think the way he made the point was absurd.”

McDowell continued: “If you look at the numbers, 53% of married women supported Trump, 64% of unmarried women supported Biden – but don’t give James Carville too much credit. I think one thing is driving reasonable women out of the Democratic Party. Look at him, that filthy pile, that’s all you got.”

Fox News contributor Joe Concha said Carville was “relevant thirty years ago” when he worked for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign.

“Yet he’s on cable news a lot. And to your point, he humiliated Bill Clinton’s victims by, you know, dragging a $100 bill through a trailer (thing). He gets rewarded by being on MSNBC go and say a lot,” he said. “This is about people: they are not categories, they are not groups, they are not demographics. There’s no voice for women, there’s no voice for Latin Americans, there’s no voice for black people – it’s all about, do you feel inflation and food? Prices too high? And the rental prices are too high? And gas prices too high? And the crime too high? What about foreign policy you don’t agree with and a border that’s wide open? It’s not about categories. These are people who are generally not better off under this government. than four years ago.”

In the interview with the Times, Carville criticized Biden for not having enough energy compared to Trump.

“Don’t tell me Biden has more energy or knowledge than Trump, because it’s clear that, yes, Trump has word salads, but he projects energy. He’s insane. He is a criminal of the first order. But he does have a bit of timing and a bit of a sense of humor and knows how to move from one story to the next,” he said.
