Issues are about to get freaky for Julia Butters.
The “As soon as Upon a Time in Hollywood” standout has joined the forged of Disney’s “Freaky Friday” sequel, sources inform Selection. The undertaking was formally confirmed in March, with Nisha Ganatra tapped to direct.
Ganatra most not too long ago directed episodes of Hulu’s “Welcome to Chippendales.” Her different credit embody the 2020 movie “The Excessive Be aware” with Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, together with 2019’s “Late Evening,” starring Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson.

“Freaky Friday” adopted Curtis as straight-laced mother Tess and Lohan as rebellious daughter Anna. When a mystical fortune cookie forces them to swap our bodies, the duo should be taught to just accept one another unconditionally — in time for Tess’ marriage ceremony and Anna’s huge gig together with her band.
Butters’ function and any plot particulars for the long-gestating sequel have but to be revealed. Butters’ different credit embody “The Grey Man,” “The Fablemans” and “I Suppose You Ought to Depart.”
Andrew Gunn, who produced the primary movie, is producing the sequel, together with former Disney exec Kristin Burr. Launch crops haven’t but been introduced. Disney didn’t instantly return Selection’s request for remark.
