Lava floods the highway in Iceland

Benjamin Daniel

International Courant

A stream of molten rock has swallowed up a highway in Iceland because it heads in direction of the coastal city of Grindavik.

No evacuation order has been issued for Grindavik as there isn’t any speedy danger because of the gradual progress of the lava.

The lava is the results of a volcanic eruption final month on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The volcano has since stabilized.
