Three inmates who allegedly killed infamous Boston gangster James “Whitey” Bulger in jail in 2018 are set to seem in courtroom on Monday for a plea listening to and sentencing.
The listening to for Fotios “Freddy” Geas, Paul J. DeCologero and Sean McKinnon shall be held in federal courtroom in northern West Virginia. Plea offers for the three have been revealed final month.
Bulger, 89, was crushed to loss of life in his cell hours after being transferred to a troubled West Virginia jail six years in the past.

Geas and DeCologero are accused of repeatedly hitting Bulger within the head as McKinnon was a lookout.
DeCologero advised an inmate witness that Bulger was a “snitch” and revealed a plan to kill him as quickly as he entered their unit. DeCologero additionally advised an inmate that he and Geas used a belt with a lock connected to it to beat Bulger to loss of life.
Geas and DeCologero have been charged with homicide whereas all three males have been charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree homicide, which carries as much as a life sentence. McKinnon was additionally charged with making false statements to a federal agent.

Final 12 months, the Justice Division mentioned it could not search the loss of life penalty for Geas and DeCologero.
Bulger, who ran the largely Irish mob in Boston within the Nineteen Seventies and Nineteen Eighties, grew to become one of many nation’s most needed fugitives after fleeing the town in 1994. He was finally captured at age 81 after greater than 16 years on the run.
He was convicted in 2013 for 11 killings and dozens of different gangland crimes.
