EXCLUSIVE: Quiver Distribution has acquired North American rights to A Mistake, a suspenseful medical drama starring three-time Emmy nominee Elizabeth Banks (Skincare), from Cornerstone Movies.
The movie involves its Quiver deal following its profitable launch on the 2024 Tribeca Pageant and the now full sell-out of all territories. It is slated for launch in theaters on September 20, which may even see the discharge of Apple and Sony’s crime thriller Wolfs, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt; A24’s A Totally different Man; Lionsgate’s horror thriller By no means Let Go; Paramount’s Transformers One; and extra.

Written and directed by Christine Jeffs, the filmmaker behind titles like Sunshine Cleansing and Sylvia, A Mistake relies on the 2019 novel by Carl Shuker. The story delves into the perilous aftermath of a split-second medical determination from surgeon Elizabeth Taylor (Banks), unfolding an exciting exploration of the deadly ripple results triggered by a single human error.
A GFC Movies manufacturing, the movie additionally stars Simon McBurney (Carnival Row), Mickey Sumner (Snowpiercer) and Rena Owen (Siren). Matthew Metcalfe produced alongside Jeffs, with Cornerstone’s Alison Thompson and Mark Gooder serving as govt producers. The movie was financed by the New Zealand Movie Fee and Te Puna Kairangi, the New Zealand Authorities’s Premium Productions for Worldwide Audiences Fund, along with Ingenious Media.
