Former NFL star Jim Everett desires to ‘put the previous behind him’ after notorious altercation with Jim Rome

Jim Everett was a stable quarterback within the NFL. In 1988 and 1989 he led the league in landing passes and in 1990 he was chosen to the Professional Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.

However what most followers bear in mind about Everett is his incident with then-ESPN anchor Jim Rome, shortly after he was traded to the New Orleans Saints. Rome mocked Everett by calling him “Chris” — a reference to the feminine tennis participant — after insinuating that Everett didn’t like taking hits throughout matches.

Within the 1994 interview between Rome and Everett, Rome continued to bully Everett. The quarterback implied {that a} bodily confrontation would happen if Rome continued to do it. When the announcer did it once more, Everett pushed Rome to the bottom and knocked over a desk between them. There have been no accidents and no authorized motion was taken because of the incident.
