No less than seven individuals have died in forest fires within the Portuguese areas of Aveiro and Viseu, though cooler climate has doused the flames.
Dozens of houses have been destroyed and tens of 1000’s of hectares of forest and scrub have been misplaced to the flames.
Reinforcements have arrived from Spain and Morocco to assist battle the fires.
