JPMorgan Chase on Friday flatly denied that its CEO, Jamie Dimon, has endorsed Donald Trump for president, minutes after the Republican candidate claimed on social media that Dimon had endorsed him.

“Jamie Dimon has not endorsed anybody. He has not endorsed any candidate,” Dimon spokesman Joe Evangelisti instructed CNBC in a cellphone name.

Trump had posted a screenshot on Reality Social falsely claiming: “New: JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has endorsed Trump for president.”

The Trump marketing campaign didn’t instantly reply to CNBC’s requests for remark.
