Ukraine denounces the reported execution of troops in Kursk

The Ukrainian Human Rights Ombudsman has denounced the alleged execution of 9 Ukrainian troops by Russian forces within the Kursk border space.

Dmytro Lubinets mentioned he had written to the United Nations and the Crimson Cross in regards to the allegations, accusing Moscow of violating “all the principles and customs of warfare.”

The intervention follows reporting by Ukrainian human rights group DeepStat, which revealed drone photos claiming to indicate lifeless troops they mentioned had been drone operators. Officers in Russia haven’t but responded to the allegations.
