Tigres Del Norte, Maná, Extra Stars Slam Trump’s Anti-Latino Rhetoric

Los Tigres Del Norte, Maná, Alejandro Fernández, Chiquis Rivera, and greater than 20 different Hispanic artists are coming collectively to sentence the Trump marketing campaign’s anti-Latino and anti-immigrant rhetoric in a brand new assertion, shared solely with Rolling Stone Wednesday.

The group of stars signing the “Ya Estuvo” assertion contains Kate Del Castillo, Ramón Ayala, Majo Aguilar, María José, Edén Muñóz, Los Ángeles Azules, and Natalia Jimenez as they condemn the previous president’s messaging and the long-term results it is had on the Latino neighborhood.

The assertion is paired with a poignant video highlighting the rise of anti-Latino hate since Trump’s election. It options clips of US Latinos being bodily attacked, soundtracked by the voice of Trump’s 2016 marketing campaign speech the place he described Mexicans as criminals and rapists.

The video ends with a name to vote, and Mexican music icon Paquita La Del Barrio sprinkling in some humor along with her signature catchline: “¿Me estan oyendo, inútiles?” or “Are you listening, ineffective folks?”

Jason Garner, the previous CEO of World Music at Dwell Nation and present supervisor of Maná and Fernández, says he rallied the group of artists to make it clear that “it isn’t proper to denigrate and dehumanize the Latino folks,” and to encourage Latino People to vote

“It does not really feel proper to face by now and watch my mates get abused. It feels cowardly to not converse up… Politicians can debate the problems. However the dignity of the Mexican immigrant is not up for debate,” Garner tells Rolling Stone. “I’m who I’m due to Latino immigrants.
