President-elect Donald Trump introduced Saturday that he plans to fireplace FBI Director Christopher Wray and exchange him with longtime ally Kash Patel.
The appointment should be authorized by the Senate.

Patel has been a staunch supporter of Trump for years and served in various roles within the first administration. He has vocally defended the January 6 rioters.
“This FBI will finish America’s rising crime epidemic, dismantle the felony immigrant gangs, and finish the evil scourge of human and drug trafficking throughout the border,” Trump stated in a Reality Social publish.
