Mendoza: he agreed to buy a motorcycle through Facebook and they killed him to steal his money
A 25-year-old young man was murdered in front of his girlfriend in the city of Mendoza where he was attacked by criminals who tried to steal a backpack in which he was carrying 500,000 pesos. The money was to pay for the purchase of a motorcycle that they had agreed to through Facebook.
The victim was Ángel Yerdeo, who last Sunday, April 2, went with his girlfriend to buy a motorcycle in the La Favorita neighborhood; a conflictive area due to several cases of insecurity. There, he had allegedly agreed to the delivery of the money for the purchase of the motorcycle. The commercial transaction had been closed through the Marketplace application on the popular social network.

According to the Los Andes newspaper, the victim arrived at the scene, but the alleged seller was not there. And when they were about to leave, one block from where the failed meeting had been agreed upon, two armed criminals approached them and demanded that they hand over the backpack where they had around 500,000 pesos.
Yerdeo’s girlfriend later recounted that everything happened when they were both walking towards “a house located in front of Plaza Aliar, the home of Facundo, the supposed Facebook user and owner of the motorcycle that was going to be sold.”
“Upon arriving at the agreed address, we knocked on the door and from the house they told us that no Facundo lived there,” said the victim’s girlfriend.
According to the story of the young woman who was carrying the backpack with the money, her boyfriend was shot because he came to her defense, after the criminals forced her to hand over the backpack.
