A criminal stole the bicycle of a 78-year-old retiree in the city of Córdoba and was later shot down by a neighbor who chased him and hit him with a flying kick. A security camera captured the moment and the video soon went viral on social media.
The episode occurred around 11 a.m. last Saturday on Juan Vucetich Avenue at 6,800, in the Ituzaingó neighborhood of Cordoba. It was there that Carlos left the bike for a few minutes to enter a local on the block and the 30-year-old thief took advantage of the neglect to take it away.
A neighbor in the area went out to look for the offender and, upon finding him, gave him a flying kick to the head. After knocking him down, he reduced him to the asphalt and, little by little, more people began to arrive to ensure that he did not escape. Finally, police officers took him into custody at the police station.

Although the thief was unable to escape, the man had trouble getting his bike back. Despite the fact that he explained to the Police that he has a leg problem and that he cannot walk more than a block, the agents did not return it to him due to “protocol.”
Desperate and without many options, he turned to the media for help: “I started arguing because the police wanted to take my bike and I asked them please not to do it. I already give it up because they won’t take it from me return. Several people from the neighborhood have already asked to return it to me, but it hasn’t happened yet,” lamented the man in an interview with TN.
And he added: “With that I move everywhere, I go to the supermarket, to shop, for me it is essential. I already have to go buy a new one because without a bike I have no movement.”
Finally, the story had a happy ending. After two days, Carlos recovered his bicycle on Monday. “They gave me very little ball. It was impossible to recover the bike. The piece of paper, the piece of paper is missing. A journalist accompanied me and when she turned on the camera, everything appeared and after a while it became easy,” he said.
In addition, Carlos was reunited with the neighbor who arrested the thief. “I saw that he got off the bike with difficulty. And the thief was there, I noticed and went looking for him. I don’t do martial arts or anything, I just play soccer. But instinct called me to do that,” said the young man. .
