The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has requested that the internationals react strongly and act in a unified manner towards Serbia’s tendency to destabilize the region.
She emphasized that the three police officials who were kidnapped by Serbian forces inside the territory of Kosovo, should be released immediately and without any conditions.
Osmani said that Serbia is not interested in peace and stability in the region.
“This act proves once again that Serbia is not interested in peace and stability in the region, but in causing destabilization of Kosovo and the entire region. Today’s act proves that Serbia continues to act with the logic of the past, whose hegemonic tendencies have caused terrible crimes and many victims,” Osmani wrote.
“The Kosovo Police has shown commitment and determination to maintain order and law for all citizens without distinction, so such an act requires a strong reaction and unified action of the international community against Serbia’s tendency to destabilize the region. The police officers must be released immediately and unconditionally. Kosovo’s institutions will not give up their commitment to the rule of law, as well as their commitment to long-term peace and stability,” Osmani wrote.
