Architect Andrés Duprat continues to retain his position on the Executive Directorate of the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA). It was decided by the Minister of Culture Tristán Bauer as a result of the opposition and background competition that began on June 30.
The selection process had caused controversy, so much so that a group of MPs led by Sabrina Ajmechet (Together for Change) submitted a report request in mid-August asking the ministry to explain what Bauer’s criteria were for choosing between the shortlists used and whether it was ensured that “the applicants did not have access to the competition conditions before the announcement”.
After the controversy, Andrés Duprat remains director of the National Museum of Fine Arts
