An Indiana house owner shot and killed an intruder who allegedly attacked him in his lounge, native police stated.
Kokomo cops responded to a house on East Jackson Avenue simply after 8:44 p.m. Sunday over a report of a break-in, in keeping with the division’s press launch on the matter.
The house owner, who has not been recognized, instructed police he was asleep within the dwelling when he woke as much as discover an unknown male creeping round his lounge.
“The house owner tried to get the male to depart his dwelling when the male bodily attacked the house owner,” police stated.

That was when the house owner reportedly grabbed his gun and shot the suspect in an try and “cease the continued bodily altercation,” in keeping with police.

The suspect, later recognized as 51-year-old Scott Elliot Jones of Kokomo, died on the scene and was discovered by police close to the house’s entrance door. Kokomo is positioned roughly 60 miles north of Indianapolis.

The house owner was handled for minor injures stemming from the bodily altercation, together with abrasions and bruising.
