CHICAGO — Six people were killed and at least 20 others injured in weekend shootings in Chicago.
A shooting early Saturday in the city’s North Lawndale neighborhood left one man dead and four other men injured, police said.
Three people, including two women, were gunned down on Chicago’s South Side Saturday night when gunfire rang out at a group of people from an alley.
At around 1:25 a.m. on Sunday evening, a man was found shot to death in an overturned vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
A 16-year-old boy has been pronounced dead at a hospital after being shot Friday night, also on the south side of town.
Since Friday, Chicago police have responded to at least nine separate shooting scenes. Over the weekend of July 14, 40 people were shot throughout Chicago, four fatally, according to WLS-TV.
