After pardoning turkeys on the White Home on Monday morning, President Joe Biden joined first girl Jill Biden on a visit to New York to proceed the early celebration of Thanksgiving.
The primary couple delivered remarks and served meals at a “Friendsgiving” occasion with service members and their households on the U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York on Staten Island as a part of the primary girl’s Becoming a member of Forces initiative to help navy households.

He then placed on a darkish blue apron with a presidential seal on it and ate some bread earlier than placing on some plastic sanitary pads and handing out greens.
Throughout his remarks, Biden expressed gratitude for the U.S. Coast Guard members who rushed to the entrance traces when hurricanes hit the Southeast earlier this 12 months.

Earlier Monday, Biden pardoned two Minnesota turkeys, named Peach and Blossom, through the annual ceremony on the White Home.
He stated the birds are named after Delaware’s state flower: the peach blossom.
“This occasion marks the official begin of the vacation season right here in Washington,” the president advised an estimated crowd of two,500 folks gathered on the South Garden. “It’s also the final time I communicate right here this season as your president and provide thanks.
