A missing woman’s remains were found in a storage room and may be linked to a man recently accused of murdering his girlfriend – whose remains were also found in a storage room.

The St. Paul Police Department announced Friday that Fanta Xayavong’s remains were found in a storage unit in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, according to FOX 9.

Police said last week they were concerned about Xayavong’s safety. She was last seen with Joseph Jorgenson, 40, in July 2021 and was reported missing in May.

Ramsey County prosecutors charged Jorgenson with second-degree intentional homicide in the death of 34-year-old Manijeh “Mani” Starren whose body was found in June in a storage unit in Woodbury, Minnesota. Her remains were found in coolers and bags in the storage unit, according to a statement of probable cause previously obtained by Fox News Digital.

After Starren’s remains were found, a tip to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehensions led to an investigation into Xayavong’s disappearance.

While police do not know where Xayavong’s death took place, a search warrant has been issued at a Shoreview home previously owned by Jorgenson through September 2022.

Jorgenson is a person of interest in Xayavong’s death and has not been charged in connection with her disappearance or death.

“This all started with a tip that put us on the path to finding Fanta,” Ernster said. “We’re looking for someone who’s missing someone who’s been in touch with Jorgenson to call us.”

Officials think there could be more casualties.

Starren’s father reported her missing on May 1, saying she was “afraid” of Jorgenson, her boyfriend, prompting an investigation.

Jorgenson also reportedly sent Starren text messages saying, “I hope you die of a kidney infection b—-c—terrible mother.”

Starren was seen on security video on April 21 fleeing her apartment around 6 p.m

Jorgenson was subsequently seen 28 times on security videos entering Starren’s apartment with her keys after she was seen fleeing the apartment.

He was seen on April 28 carrying two duffel bags and a suitcase out of the apartment in a pickup truck.

Google data obtained by police shows that Jogenson had searched for “Jugular,” “What do police do with a missing person’s report,” and “lime for soil,” something used to speed up decomposition .
