Bodycam footage from Ohio shows suspects hiding in unusual places during a drug bust in Elyria last week, including a clothes dryer.

Elyria Police Department officials arrested as many as seven suspects on May 6, after witnessing Brandon Sherrill run into a home on Kenyon Avenue.

Sherrill had an outstanding warrant in his name, prompting officers to enter the home and inspect the property.

Suspects Stephanie Price, Michael McClosky, Autumn Eggers, Jason Smith and Sherill have all been arrested, police officials said.

Two other suspects were arrested for drug offenses: Ean King and Michael Major. King has been charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine, while Major was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

As a hired tenant of the house, Major was also charged with allowing drug abuse into the house. Major let the officers into the house as they approached the house.

As officers searched the house, the suspects’ unusual hiding places were gradually revealed: Smith was found hiding under blankets in the basement and Price hiding in the attic. Sherill was found hidden under the basement stairs.

Meanwhile, McClosky was found hiding in the clothes dryer. Bodycam video shows officers demanding McClosky to come out of the dryer as they arrest him.

Officers found several drugs at the scene, including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. They also found syringes, Xanax and various drug paraphernalia.

Police praised their officers’ actions and said the arrests made the community a safer place.

“The Elyria Police Department believes that the arrest of these individuals has made the Eastern Heights neighborhood and community a safer place,” the police said in a statement.
