British ambassador says survivors described ‘dire’ state of affairs

The British ambassador to Italy, Edward Llewellyn, advised the BBC that he had spoken to a lot of the British survivors of the sinking yacht Sicily.

He mentioned he had heard from them in regards to the “extraordinarily unhappy and dire state of affairs they have been all in” and that he was working with Italian authorities to offer support and help to these rescued.
