According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, firefighters contained a grass fire that burned about 14 acres northeast of Santa Clarita Monday afternoon.
The incident, dubbed the Peter fire, was first reported shortly after 4pm in the 3000 block of Dwight Lee Street.
Flight crews estimated that the fire was about 14 hectares in size at 6 p.m. The fire burned in grassy fuel with a southwest wind of 5 to 10 mph, according to LA County Fire.
The fire was completely under control around 8:30 p.m according to CalFire.
Authorities on the scene reported that some nearby buildings were threatened by the fire, but no evacuations were ordered.
