CAPMAS reviews a 36.5% improve in Egyptian cotton exports in 2023

The annual report of the Central Company for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on cotton for the 2022/2023 agricultural season revealed a 36.5 % improve in Egyptian cotton exports.

The report exhibits that the full amount exported from the beginning of the season to the top (September/August) in 2023 was 1.5 million quintals of cotton, in comparison with 1.1 million quintals (September/August) in 2022.

In response to the report, India imports probably the most Egyptian cotton with the amount exported to it reaching 715,000 quintals, accounting for 48.9 % of the full amount exported throughout the above-mentioned interval.

The entire shopper amount of native cotton from the beginning of the season to the top of 2023 was 54,300 thousand quintals, in comparison with 148,800 quintals in 2022.
