A Chicago man accused of torturing and killing a number of cats has been arrested.
Thomas Martel, 22, turned himself in to police Monday after a lady filed a criticism alleging animal cruelty, FOX Chicago reported.

He’s charged with 4 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of animal torture, all felonies.
Martel allegedly drowned and crushed two cats to demise, whereas a 3rd died from mutilation, authorities mentioned. A kitten was discovered by law enforcement officials in a plastic bag in Martel’s residence.
The lady who reported it mentioned the cat had been microwaved. All of the kittens that died had been named Shelly.
