Geoffrey Deuel, greatest recognized for portraying famed outlaw Billy the Child within the 1970 John Wayne automobile Chisum, died Dec. 22 at age 81, per an official obituary.

The performer, youthful brother to Peter Duel (who grew to become recognized for portraying Hannibal Heyes/Joshua Smith on the favored ABC Western Alias Smith and Jones previous to his suicide), died in hospice care in Florida following a battle with continual obstructive pulmonary illness.

Born in Lockport, New York to a physician father and nurse mom, he was raised in close by Penfield. After attending Penfield Excessive Faculty, Ithaca School and Syracuse College, Deuel adopted in his brother’s footsteps, starting his profession in Hollywood in 1965. The next 12 months, he appeared in an episode of ABC’s 12 O’Clock Excessive. Deuel and Duel, who was three years his senior, labored alongside each other on a 1971 episode of NBC’s The Identify of the Recreation.
