Colorado pet thieves pretend seizure to steal canines from pet retailer: police

A number of suspects are on the run in Colorado following a weird heist through which a male allegedly faked a seizure to distract employees at a pet retailer whereas his confederate swiped two bulldog puppies price $4,299 every from a show case, police say. 

The theft was captured on video at Excellent Pets in Centennial on Sunday afternoon. One of many two canines was later returned to the shop by a Good Samaritan after she “bought the pet for $1,500 from a avenue vendor in north Denver,” the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Workplace introduced early Tuesday.

Excellent Pets, on its web site, mentioned it’s an “impartial, household owned and operated pet retailer” that focuses on puppies.  

Bianca Larsen, the supervisor of the shop, informed KDVR that she had been planning to promote one of many stolen puppies to a good friend and the opposite to a fellow pet retailer proprietor.
