Four victims, including three 14-year-olds, were injured in a shooting in Detroit on Thursday night, police said.

Detroit police said a “dispute over a delivery” at a home on Penrod’s 13500 block erupted into violence with at least 30 shots fired shortly before 9 p.m. One of the victims was shot in the face and is still in critical condition. That’s what the Detroit Police Department reported.

“This looks like a shootout, this was some sort of dispute over a delivery,” Detroit Police Chief James White said. “They came in and shots were fired.”

The other victims had “non-life-threatening” injuries, White said.

“This level of violence is unacceptable, it’s not something we’re going to tolerate. We have good cops and we’re not kidding,” White said. “You fired 30 shots in our community, and we have officers knocking on doors to make sure we don’t have people hit because of an argument over a delivery.”

“We’re going to find out where the adults were,” White added, noting that many of the children didn’t live nearby.
