Durbin urges launch of Gaetz ethics report

Durbin spokesperson Josh Sorbe mentioned the senator, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, has pushed for the report’s launch to the general public.

After information broke Wednesday that Gaetz was chosen for the Trump Cupboard, Home Ethics Committee Chair Rep. Michael Visitor, R-Miss., instructed reporters the investigation would finish if Gaetz have been to step down from Congress.

On Friday, Johnson mentioned he will not be reaching out or talking with the Ethics Committee to ask it to not launch the report when requested by Fox Information. 

“I do not know something concerning the investigation. The speaker of the Home will not be concerned with these issues,” Johnson mentioned. “I’m reacting to media studies {that a} report is at the moment in some draft type and was going to be launched on what’s now a former member of the Home.”

He added that he did not imagine releasing the report could be “acceptable.”
