Eerie video reveals Titan submersible tail cone on ocean ground

Video launched by the Coast Guard Marine Board of Investigation reveals the stays of the Titan submersible on the underside of the Atlantic Ocean after an implosion claimed the lives of all 5 on board.

Remotely operated automobile footage reveals the vessel’s tail cone resting on the ocean ground. The video was the conclusive proof investigators wanted to find out the catastrophic loss following the incident on June 18, 2023. 

The Titan’s implosion occurred lower than two hours after its descent towards the wreck of the Titanic.

The submersible was owned by OceanGate. The corporate’s former operations director, David Lochridge, advised investigators on Tuesday that the Titan tragedy might have been prevented if a federal security company had investigated a criticism he filed with the Occupational Security and Well being Administration (OSHA).

“As a seafarer, I really feel deeply upset by the system that’s meant to guard not solely seafarers however most of the people as effectively,” he stated.

Lochridge refused to greenlight manned assessments of the submersible over security considerations. 

Lochridge stated throughout testimony that eight months after he filed an OSHA criticism, a caseworker advised him the company had not begun investigating it but, and there have been 11 instances forward of his. By then, OceanGate was suing Lochridge, and he had filed a countersuit.

About 10 months after he filed the criticism, he determined to stroll away. The case was closed and each lawsuits have been dropped, in response to The Related Press.

OceanGate head Stockton Rush was among the many 5 individuals who died within the implosion. The Titan had been on a number of dives to the Titanic going again to 2021, the AP reported.
