For the first time in history, Manchester City and Manchester United will clash with each other in the grand final of the FA Cup.

The English champions come into this challenge as favourites, as they aim to secure their second trophy of the season, to then attempt the treble, a feat only arch-rivals United have previously achieved on the island.

Guardiola’s men last won the FA Cup trophy in 2019, while this season this trophy takes on great importance, as in England it is considered the true test of “The Citizens” before the big final on June 10. against the Italians of Inter.

On the other hand, Erik Ten Hag’s team aims to win the second trophy of the season, after success in the Carabao Cup. The Red Devils have never won the two FA Cups before in their history, but they come into this challenge on the back of a run of four consecutive victories, finishing third in the Premier League.

In this season, it will be the third match between City and United, after Erik Ten Hag’s team has faced the Champions of England twice in the Premier League. The first challenge spoke for Guardiola’s men who demolished United 6-3, while at Old Trafford, coach Erik Ten Hag’s side won 2-1.

The first Manchester derby final in the history of the FA Cup will kick off at 16:00 and as always will be broadcast live on SuperSport 2.
