A Georgia homeowner held a burglary suspect, charged with more than a dozen car burglaries, at gunpoint until deputies arrive to make the arrest.
The Towns County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home on Gumlog Road on May 20 because someone had broken into vehicles.
Officers arrived at the residence and found that several vehicles had entered. Sheriff’s deputies quickly identified the two suspects as Hunter Adams, 18, and Travis Foskey, 21.
A call to deputies was made a short time later in the same area in which a homeowner held a suspect, later identified as Adams, at gunpoint in her residence. The woman had returned home and found the suspect dressed in her husband’s clothing.

The sheriff’s office said an investigation showed the suspect forced entry into the residence.
When deputies arrived at the house, the suspect attempted to run before being tackled by deputies and taken into custody. Adams was charged with burglary and 20 felonies in a car.

Investigators identified the second suspect as Foskey and obtained warrants for his arrest. Foskey was arrested the next morning. He is charged with burglary and 20 felonies in a car.
“Sheriff Ken Henderson commends the homeowner for her prompt action and for holding the suspect until deputies arrived, and the deputies and detectives for quickly apprehending these suspects,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “Criminal activity like this doesn’t happen every day in Towns County.”
