A renowned Honduran lawyer was found dead this Sunday inside her apartment located in the Las Hadas neighborhood of Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.
The woman was identified as Nancy Lorena Anariba Hernández, 45, who graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) and had a master’s degree in Labor Law.
According to preliminary reports, the legal professional was murdered by her sentimental partner, who shot her in the head, causing her death.
After his commission, the suspect, identified as Danilo Oyuela, also shot himself in the head, but was left alive, for which he was transferred to an emergency care center, where he remains hospitalized in a serious condition.
The reports indicate that the couple was arguing on the terrace of the apartment, then they entered the room, where the crime would have taken place. The victim, who was also a mother, was left lying on the bed with no vital signs.
Subsequently, police authorities arrived to cordon off the scene and carry out the first investigations while they waited for members of Forensic Medicine to remove the body.
At the moment, the details of the bloody crime against the jurist, who was murdered on the Day of the Honduran Lawyer, are unknown.
