Idaho elk hunter shoots, kills charging grizzly bear in ‘shock encounter’: officers

An elk hunter in Idaho shot and killed a grizzly bear in self-defense after the animal charged immediately at him in a “shock encounter,” wildlife officers mentioned Monday.

“It was decided that the hunter acted in self-defense throughout a shock encounter with the bear from a really shut distance,” wildlife officers mentioned.
