Fito Páez revealed some details about the departure of EADDA9223, his reversal of the mythical El amor después del amor, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the best-selling album in the history of Argentine rock.
During the interview he gave to the Vuelta y Media program, which is broadcast by Urbana Play, the musician from Rosario said on several occasions that he likes not having plans and the idea of revising his 1992 work.
“Ok, let’s record it,” Páez replied to Carlos Bandera, his musician and “the one responsible,” according to him, for the production of El amor después del amor versión siglo XXI.

“But finally you discover that apart from the enthusiasm of retaking a material, which could have been anyone. But in this case, if you had to do sacrilege, you had to do it wildly. Love after love was ideal,” he explained.
Later, when asked about what it was like to return to work for new versions of each of the pieces of that historic success, the interpreter and composer replied: “It was an intellectual exercise to analyze what to do with each song. All the songs had at least two versions , at least. Some many more”.
In each of his answers, the pleasure that his new work caused him was noted in the tone and in his gestures, which was presented with a listening in order of the themes to summon those who listen to him “to immerse themselves in the journey “that that implies, as he described. Artists such as Lali, Wos, Chico Buarque and Elvis Costello himself participate in the work, for whom he expressed immense admiration. “It’s John Lennon. There’s no one else like him.”
Precisely, regarding the guests, he said that “no musician” rejected his invitation, despite the fact that some did “have more schedule problems” to participate in the album recorded in the United States.
“Everyone came in very warmly,” he added.
Fito made a special reference to the participation of Lali and Nicky Nicole in “Dos días en la vida”. I asked them for a little more, a little more, and eventually the two of them reached a point of excellence.”

Fito Páez, at the beginning of the extensive interview, which from time to time had moments of humor, memories and even pleasant conversation between old acquaintances, responded how he feels about the praise that places him on a pedestal.
“Rock and roll does not have that in its DNA. We are not prepared for bronze, or statues, or solemnity, or seriousness, so all of that is immediately rejected,” he said.
However, he explained that he does like recognition because “it’s love, that’s something else.”
“One has also seen artists from other disciplines how quickly the figure of the writer… the floripondio, all that thing…”, he began to describe to delve into his concept. “Well, rock and roll does not have that. It has laughter and it has to desacralize, in any case. Rock and roll is (Diego) Capusotto and Oscar Wilde.
