Lawyers for an IRS whistleblower claim the whistleblower’s entire team has been removed from the Hunter Biden investigation and have accused the administration of unlawful retaliation, according to a letter to the House and Senate judicial committees.
The whistleblower’s lawyers told Congress the removal was under the order of the Justice Department.
“Today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Supervisory Special Agent we represent has been notified that he and his entire investigative team are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject our client sought to whistleblower about to disclose to Congress,” is in the letter.
“He was told the change was at the request of the Justice Department,” attorneys Mark Lytle and Tristan Leavitt wrote.
