President Joe Biden got a good laugh on Thursday by mentioning the name of a Republican legislator.
Speaking at an event in South Carolina, Biden praised the success of his economic agenda — then dropped a quick reference to conspiracy theorist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).
“Since I took office, we’ve seen more than 60 domestic production announcements, all along the solar energy supply chain,” he boasted. “One of the largest is in Dalton, Georgia. You may find it hard to believe, but that’s Marjorie Taylor Greene’s precinct.”
The crowd laughed.
“I’ll be there for the groundbreaking,” Biden said with a grin:
Greene, a close ally of the House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California), last year spoke at a white nationalist event. She has also called for a “national divorce“splitting red states from blue, which critics have labeled”treacherous”, and has shared a number of them wild And on the loose plot theories.
