White Home press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre held a press briefing for the primary time since President Biden introduced he wouldn’t be pursuing a second time period and emphasised that his choice was not as a result of his well being. 

After sharing their condolences to the household and associates of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who handed away over the weekend, in addition to condemning the killing of Sonya Massey, who was fatally shot by an Illinois sheriff’s deputy in her residence, Jean-Pierre addressed Biden’s choice to drop out of the presidential race.

Jean-Pierre defended the president and denied any notion of him resigning from his present submit and proceeded to focus on his accomplishments throughout his time period.

When requested why Biden stepped down and if it was associated to his well being, Jean-Pierre dodged the query once more and deferred to the president’s deal with on Wednesday night.

When requested if Biden felt bullied to depart the race, Jean-Pierre once more deferred to Biden’s Wednesday night speech and stated that his choice to step down was not a simple one to make.
