A Houston manhunt ended Wednesday night when police shot and killed the suspect they stated fatally shot a deputy who was attempting to serve a warrant.
Houston Police stated 56-year-old Robert Lee Davis, also called Christopher Davis, was wished in connection to the deputy’s loss of life.

“This afternoon, we misplaced a neighborhood hero in Deputy Sheriff Vargas from the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Workplace,” Whitmire stated.
The capturing occurred within the car parking zone of a Greenback Basic retailer at about 11:30 a.m.
Vargas and his associate had been serving a warrant on the offender within the car parking zone, and after they approached the fugitive’s car, he reportedly opened fireplace and fled the scene.
Vargas was working as a member of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Job Drive on the time of the capturing, in line with authorities.

Officers stated Vargas was shot within the head.

Harris County Constable Alan Rosen posted on X that his division was aiding within the seek for the suspect.
