Mexican actress Martha Higareda visited Guatemala last May and users on social networks shared several photos of her stay in the country.
At that time, it transpired that Higareda toured San Juan La Laguna, Sololá and caused a sensation because several of her Guatemalan admirers recognized her during her walks around the country and approached her to obtain photographs or autographs.
Higareda, known for her participation in films such as Amarte duele, Niñas mal and No manches Frida, among others, accompanied Lewis Howes to Guatemala due to some activities programmed by Pencils of Promise (PoP), an international non-profit organization that supports public education, which intervenes in rural schools of the official sector at the levels of pre-primary and primary school education.
According to the organization, Lewis Howes is part of the Advisory Board and joined its programs because they seek to provide the necessary means, methods and materials to increase education rates in schools. In addition, the American businessman has donated enough funds to the entity for projects globally.
According to the PoP report, on May 30, Howes visited the country for the fifth time and invited Higareda to show him the work the organization is doing in Guatemala.
Higareda and Howes attended the Cantón Chicutzám, Chicacao, Suchitepéquez school and shared with Guatemalan student children. “They were able to see and participate in the activities carried out through the programs provided by Pencils of Promise, which are school infrastructure, accompaniment to teachers and thus be able to continue providing support,” the organization indicated.

Higareda and its connection with Atitlán
A month after his visit, Higareda recalled his walks through Atitlán and described it as a magical place.
The Mexican actress published several postcards this Friday, June 30, and assured that her experience on that site was beautiful.
“For a long time @lewishowes had told me that it was a magical place,” Higareda wrote, acknowledging that the American businessman has a special affection for the beauty that Guatemala offers.
The Mexican actress also mentioned Azul Anaité, a woman recognized as the guardian of the sacred feminine, who shares workshops, circles and training for women who wish to awaken their magic, finding the gifts and gifts hidden in their history, as well as remembering the path to take nature as a guide in life.
“Recently @azulanaite told me that in that lake you can ask for whatever you want and God grants it to you. And I can tell you that this happened to us. They were days full of magic and connection, with nature, people, and children,” added Higareda.
The Mexican actress took advantage of her publication and invited her followers to learn about the work of Pencils of Promise.
