A Maryland man who allegedly stabbed four victims with a knife on Saturday has been shot and killed by police in Montgomery County.
Montgomery County Police responded to the Unique Thrift Store on Veirs Mill Road around 10:36 a.m. Saturday after receiving multiple calls about a stabbing. When officers arrived on scene, they found a woman with stab wounds.
A second caller reported at approximately 10:37 am that two other women had been stabbed on Colie Drive. Officers arrived on scene and found two injured women and a man with superficial injuries.

Two of the female victims were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the third is in critical condition. The man was not taken to a hospital, the police said in a press release.
The police received a description of the suspect and started looking for him. Witnesses told police the suspect stabbed several victims before fleeing to a wooded area near the crime scene.
The suspect was located in the 4300 block of Havard Street around 10:47 a.m. with a 12-inch butcher knife in hand. He disobeyed the officers’ orders to drop the knife and instead lunged at an officer.

The officer then shot the suspect several times. The suspect died on the spot after the help of officers.
In accordance with state law, the officer who shot the suspect and the officer who witnessed the shooting have both been placed on administrative leave pending investigation.
The stabbings and the shooting involving officers are still under investigation.
