Motagua Football Club tied 1-1 this Thursday night against the Panama CAI for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Central American Cup 2023.
Agustín Azuzmendi scored the goal for the Honduran team, while Héctor Hurtado scored for the Panamanians in the 80th minute in a goal that silenced the National Chelato Uclés stadium.
The return game between CAI and Motagua will be played next October 3 in Panamanian territory. It should be noted that the away goal is worth a double in this competition.
