The New Orleans Saints and the NFL introduced Saturday they’ll donate $1 million to the victims of the New 12 months’s Day truck ram assault on Bourbon Avenue that killed 14 folks and injured dozens of others.
“Our neighborhood has skilled unimaginable tragedy and our collective hearts are damaged as we mourn the victims and survivors of the New 12 months’s Day terrorist assault in New Orleans,” Saints proprietor Gayle Benson stated in an announcement.

The staff will associate with the Better New Orleans Basis (GNOF) and United Approach to assist distribute $500,000 to organizations offering help to victims and their households.
The NFL Basis, the league’s philanthropic arm, stated this is able to match the staff’s donation.
“The NFL is dedicated to standing with the resilient New Orleans neighborhood throughout this tough time,” Commissioner Roger Goodell stated in an announcement.

On Saturday, 13 of the 14 victims had been publicly recognized. Officers say their ages vary from 18 to 63.
