North Carolina man, 69, accused of groping teen on flight

A North Carolina man is charged with abusive sexual contact on an plane after he allegedly groped a minor onboard a Delta Airways flight Wednesday from Atlanta to Seattle, in keeping with federal officers.

Jack Allen Roberson, 69, of Andrews, North Carolina, allegedly “slipped his hand onto the sufferer’s thigh and ran in up underneath her skirt and in direction of her genitals” whereas he “gave the impression to be sleeping,” in keeping with the U.S. Legal professional’s Workplace for the Western District of Washington.

The 15-year-old alleged sufferer was touring together with her guardian and her guardian’s 12-year-old daughter on the time.

Roberson was initially sitting within the mistaken seat when the sufferer’s guardian requested him to maneuver. He then took the window seat, the alleged sufferer took the center seat and the 12-year-old lady took the aisle seat.

Shortly after taking off, the alleged sufferer mentioned, Roberson dropped his headphones. When she picked them up for him, Roberson allegedly informed her, “Thanks, I do not know what I’d do with out you,” in keeping with a federal criticism.

Roberson had two drinks earlier than he appeared to go to sleep. At first, he allegedly put his pinky on the sufferer’s thigh, which she assumed was unintended as a result of he gave the impression to be asleep. Ultimately, he allegedly “moved his fingers up her thigh and underneath her skirt,” the criticism states.

The sufferer reported the undesirable touching to her guardian, who requested a flight attendant for assist.

The flight attendant moved Roberson to a distinct seat, and regulation enforcement met up with the airplane on the Seattle airport upon its arrival. Authorities transported Roberson to the Federal Detention Middle at SeaTac Wednesday.
