Johnny Depp’s days in the role of the much-adored captain Jack Sparrow seem to have finally ended, and not by the producers of the famous “Pirates of the Caribbean” saga, but by the Hollywood star himself.
Despite Depp’s success in portraying this particular character, Disney decided to distance itself from the actor when his ex-wife, Amber Heard, accused him of violence during their marriage. But at the end of the highly publicized judicial process, he was declared innocent, while the sensational victory in the trial brought him a rehabilitation of his career and image.
But while Disney now says it would love to have him back in the cast of its new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Johny is now saying he has no intention of working with the company again. According to the Daily Mail, this is the actor’s revenge for the unfair treatment he received during his disagreements with Heard.
His refusal, according to the British media, comes despite the fact that from a sixth film of this saga, he can earn at least 20 million dollars.
“I’d love to have John in this movie, he’s a great friend and actor, and it’s unfortunate that his personal life gets in the way of what we do,” noted producer Jerry Bruckheimer said.
