Treating and curing sleep disorders with common amino acids is the basis of orthomolecular medicine. Large doses of naturally found proteins called amino acids can restore the brain’s imbalance and correct malfunction. These amino acids are affordable and used in therapeutic doses far greater than the levels normally found in food. The concept of orthomolecular medicine is based on the use of very large doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids or botanical extracts for the cellular repair and improvement of normal brain activities.
Don’t you get a promotion because you’re tired at the office? Are you about to part with fatigue and sleep deprivation? Can’t handle your kids because you’re too tired? Sleep disturbances can cause many problems and you may not be able to break the pattern on your own. The right formula is selected based on your needs. Most Chinese patent formulas must be taken for at least six weeks or more to address the underlying condition causing the insomnia symptom.
Amino acids needed to improve sleep are 5-HTP, theanine and GABA. The addition of bioidentical hormones may be necessary for men in andropause or women in menopause. Never take any type of hormone without a blood test or saliva test to determine which hormones are low. Remember that the Chinese have avoided many sleep disorders and hormonal imbalances by using food therapy and Chinese herbs. Consider these options with a healthcare provider.
