On a chilly winter day in 1958, New York was hit by a snowstorm. Saul Leiter took shelter beneath an awning. He noticed figures going in several instructions, operating away from one another, fingers in heat jacket pockets, heads bowed.
By no means in a rush, Leiter raised his digicam and took a photograph.
