Portland police responded to experiences of a hearth at a poll field round 3:30 a.m. native time on Monday. Safety personnel working within the space have been capable of extinguish the fireplace, police mentioned.

“Officers decided that an incendiary machine had been positioned within the poll field and used to ignite the fireplace,” the Portland Police Bureau mentioned in a press release.
The company’s bomb squad cleared the machine, police mentioned.
Police can’t say what number of ballots have been affected by the fireplace.
The Portland Fireplace Investigations Unit is investigating.
