Critics lashed out at Biden following the assault, together with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who referred to as for the president to hit Iran “exhausting” in retaliation.

“When the Biden Administration says ‘don’t’, the Iranians ‘do’. The Biden Administration’s rhetoric is falling on deaf ears in Iran. Their coverage of deterrence towards Iran has failed miserably. There have been over 100 assaults towards U.S. forces within the area. Iran is undeterred,” Graham stated in an announcement.

The troopers’ deaths marked a serious escalation of violence within the ongoing assaults on U.S. forces within the area. The Biden administration has blamed these assaults on Iran-backed militia teams in Syria and Iraq who’ve struck American targets in retaliation for the U.S.’ assist of Israel in its ongoing warfare with Hamas in Gaza that started on Oct. 7.

Per the DOD, there have been 165 assaults in Iraq, Syria, and now Jordan since Oct. 17. Of those, 66 have been in Iraq, 98 have been in Syria, and one was in Jordan.

The Pentagon says greater than 40 individuals have been injured within the weekend assaults on a small desert set up often called Tower 22 in Jordan. At the least eight have been medically evacuated and essentially the most critically harm service is in vital however steady situation.
