A gaggle of demonstrators held a protest in Washington, D.C., Tuesday evening over a latest deadly police taking pictures of a person within the southeast a part of the district.
This comes after 26-year-old Justin Robinson, a member of the D.C. violence interruption program known as Remedy the Streets, was shot and killed by law enforcement officials earlier this month at a McDonald’s on Marion Barry Avenue.
Remedy the Streets is a pilot public security program launched by the Workplace of the Lawyer Normal of D.C. that seeks to cut back gun violence.

The demonstration that grew to greater than 100 folks on Tuesday compelled streets to close down, and police mentioned they arrested six protesters.
“At roughly 10:05 p.m., peaceable protests at MPD’s Seventh District station turned violent when people started throwing bottles, rocks, and different objects at officers,” the police division mentioned in a press release. “MPD instantly started giving dispersal warnings as people continued to throw objects at officers.”
“We are going to proceed to help those that select to protest peacefully and safely, and we are going to proceed to carry accountable those that commit felony acts,” police added.

Police mentioned that there can be an elevated police presence on the Seventh District out of an abundance of warning.
The officers concerned within the taking pictures are on administrative depart as an investigation into the incident is underway.
