The prosecutor’s office in the state of Qatar has announced that it is applying artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to enable a fast-paced justice system to turn words into text. Qatar’s adoption of artificial intelligence is in line with its National Vision 2030.
According to The Peninsula Qatar report, the prosecution has also clarified that these AI techniques will be used during the investigative sessions and in writing the necessary minutes and memoranda to conclude the legal proceedings.
“This ensures that the information available during the research sessions and during decision making and note writing is quickly and accurately converted into written texts, while minimizing manual work. It will help speed up the process of justice and improve the accuracy and quality of information related to the functions and work of the prosecution service,” reported The Peninsula Qatar.
The technique has been tested by the prosecution in some of its departments to experiment with the use of word-to-text conversation services. After a successful pilot phase, the Qatari entity decided to move forward with the system on a larger scale.
Going forward, the Qatar Prosecutor’s Office plans to continue applying advanced technologies to improve its work.
